KnowledgeBank Founder & CEO Thomas Wimer Nominated for HR Leadership Award

McLean, VA, May 22, 2006 - KnowledgeBank Founder & CEO Thomas Wimer has been selected as a finalist for the 2006 HR Leadership Awards of Greater Washington. Wimer, who founded the HR management outsourcing and consulting services company in 2003, has been nominated for the Professional Excellence Award in the Small Commercial category.

According to Ronald Hudak, Dean of the School of Business Administration at Marymount University and Co-Chairman of the HR Leadership Awards, "by recognizing excellence in human resource management, these awards highlight the key contributions HR leaders make to their organizations' success." Laura Foote Reiff of law firm Greenburg Traurig, LLP and Co-Chair of the Awards adds, "human resource professionals are critical to the future economic well-being of businesses and institutions. These professionals are developing effective initiatives, and are agile in their ability to add value to their organizations. We are honored to have such a talented pool of nominees."

Wimer, one of three finalists selected, founded KnowledgeBank in 2003 to provide human capital management services to clients in both the private and government sectors. KnowledgeBank has quickly become the fastest growing HR management outsourcing and consulting services company in the Washington metropolitan area. "We have been very fortunate that our clients have embraced the concept of outsourcing the management of the HR function - and for small and emerging growth companies we have been able to fill a very large void in their overall management infrastructure. For government clients, we have been able to build a blended team of federal HR experts and private sector HR talent to help with the myriad workforce management challenges facing the federal government. I am honored and excited to have been selected as a nominee for this award," said Wimer.

Wimer's early career spanned both Fortune 500 organizations and entrepreneurial activities. After an early career with General Electric, The Dial Corporation and Mobil Oil, Wimer founded a retained executive search firm which he sold in the late 90s, and returned to the DC region. After running ExxonMobil's global recruitment practice, he joined Resources Connection, a Deloitte & Touche spinoff and, and led its Mid-Atlantic Human Capital practice before founding KnowledgeBank.
