KnowledgeBank Promotes Rebecca Contreras to Lead Its Federal Government Consulting Practice

McLean, VA, May 13, 2008 - KnowledgeBank, Inc. (KB), an award-winning provider of strategic human capital consulting, management consulting and outsourcing services, announced today that it has promoted Rebecca Contreras to lead its federal government consulting practice.

Ms. Contreras, who for the last three years has been leading business development and several successful project delivery initiatives for KB’s federal practice, has been instrumental in the overall growth of KB’s government sector business. She is a proven federal human capital leader, having most recently served in President George W. Bush’s Administration from 2001 through 2005 as Deputy Assistant Secretary and Chief Human Capital Officer of the U.S. Department of Treasury, a workforce of approximately 127,000 employees. Prior to her appointment to the Treasury, Ms. Contreras served as Special Assistant to the President and Associate Director of Presidential Personnel at the White House during the first two-and-a-half years of the first term of the Bush Administration. As a commissioned member of the President’s staff, her team was responsible for recruiting and recommending more than 1,200 presidential appointees to the President for appointment to approximately 260 part-time boards and commissions throughout the Federal Government.

Ms. Contreras will replace KB’s Founder and CEO Tom Wimer as general manager of KB’s federal government practice, allowing him to focus more time on KB’s strategic growth initiatives in both the government and commercial sectors. Rob Gant, Vice President of Government Operations, who has been a driving force in KB’s government market success, will oversee the operational and project management aspects of the federal practice, in addition to supporting state and local government business initiatives.

“In the five years since we launched the company, we have experienced tremendous growth and have established an excellent reputation as a premier provider of human capital services in the commercial, nonprofit and government business sectors,” says Wimer. “Our success has not been accidental. We have worked hard to attract the best human capital management talent in the market, and are thrilled to have such accomplished leaders as Rebecca Contreras and Rob Gant leading our federal government sector team.”
